The Magaliesburg Development Initiative Case Study

The following Case Study provides historical background to the formation of MDI. It does not contain information about current work.

MDI works with the Magaliesburg Stakeholder Forum that it played a large role in establishing. The Forum meets at the Nedbank Hub based in Hervormde Kerk Church Hall. It discusses members' current work and projects to address current community needs and potential initiatives they envisage undertaking to fulfil their own mandates. From time to time, Forum members request Nedbank Proud of My Town to support or provide services to the community via MDI. A recent example of this is COGTA's request for Fire Prevention Training for community members who had a need for such training during March 2023.
