Tourism Development

Building on our ranyaka.co.za speed networking and Nedbank small business development events held in August 2018 in GaMogale township, Magaliesburg Development has gone back to GaMogale and has proposed the following Social Development experiments in community tourism:

Rose Well Spa, working with a local township NPC, will promote an experiment in Health Tourism where locally trained caregivers will be given a platform to create Diabetic Days. On such days the qualified PBO trainees can perform health checks and provide diabetic meals. This would be an enabling process that could result in locally trained caregivers meeting potential employers from elsewhere.
Rose Well Spa, working with tour companies, will create spa days that use local township youth NPOs to cater the meals and interact and tell stories with real clients to create an experiment in community tourism and direction for Ga Mogale tourism. This would be an enabling process that could result in job creation.

Stakeholder workshop was held in Magaliesburg on

Friday 16 November 2018.

Together, we evaluated the progress made in the development of Magaliesburg. We discussed the development priorities and potential projects for 2019. The workshop adopted the format of a practical session where together, we once again took a closer look at the vision, priorities and issues facing Magalies. This will help to determine possible development projects going forward and to strengthen current interventions.
